The organic Google search results are known as snippets. Snippets are reusable text blocks that can be used on contact, company, and deal records; in email templates; and in chat conversations A basic snippet must be in the form; for example, Onpage Optimization. It must contain both lower and upper cases. Snippets are classified into two such as Basic snippets and Advanced snippets.

 A basic snippet contains

In 2014, Google put some limitations for the title of a snippet as the character length to 55 to 60 characters and pixel width to 512 pixels. The capacity of the textbox is 70 characters.

Meta description

Meta Description

A meta description is a tag in HTML with 155-160 characters and 1024 pixel width for a webpage. For a blog and article, it must be within 155 characters.  The meta tag is a part of the snippet. A meta description must be in the head section and include the keyword. It should be impressive and unique. If a meta tag is not given for a webpage the content which apt for the title will be displayed as meta description.

CTR

click through rate

CTR stands for Click Through Rate. It is the ratio of the number of users who click on a specific link on the website to the total number of users who view a page or advertisement. It is a measure of the success of an online advertisement for a particular website.

Limitations of title optimization

To index a webpage Google initially crawls a title. The given title must clear about the URL and description. A title is a primary way of getting the impression by the user. The following are some of the important tips to improve the title of a webpage.
  • A title must be unique for a webpage. If the given title matches with the title of another website, Google shows duplication error.
  • Google doesn't get proper clarity about the title and content if the title is not of proper length.
  • if the title is not given; Google will put the h1 tag as the content title.

2. Content Optimization

HTML body section is the main content section of a webpage. All content such as text, hyper-link, images, special characters, table, frame, etc is seen on the webpage.
In HTML there are six levels of heading. The heading elements are H1,H2,H3,H4,H5,H6. Among these, the most visible portion is an h1 tag because an h1 tag is a little larger than other tags in the body section. The word length limitation for an h1 tag is about 6-8 words. There should be only one h1 for a webpage.

💀Caution: If one or more h1 tag is given as well as the information provided does not properly match with the data then Google will index that webpage in the sandbox.

In the body portion, the content must be in a simple and short sentence. The long sentence in the content will make difficult for crawling and confusion to the user. For better optimization, the first sentence in the content of the webpage must contain the keyword.

anchor text

The hyperlink added keyword is known as the anchor tag. Users click on the anchor text to reach the link target. During content optimization, the anchor text will be more visible. An anchor tag will act as fuel while crawling process.

 Keyword density

keyword density

It is the percentage of occurring focusing keyword in the content. According to the old school SEO practice, keyword density must be less than 5% for the content. More than 5% could be considered as content spam.

Long-tailed keyword

A long-tailed keyword is the search phrase with a longer word count. It must select according to the business. For eg; "Red matte liquid lipstick"(4 words) is an example of a long-tail keyword, whereas, "red lipstick" is a short tail keyword

3. Image optimization

Image optimization is about getting your product image to rank on Google and other image search engines. Optimization is about to reduce the file size of an image without sacrificing the quality. To describe the image for the reader to understand an alt text is used. An alt text is the written text description of an image on the web.
